Privatization of state assets

The Decree of the President “On measures for accelerated reform of enterprises with the participation of the state and the privatization of state assets”

According to the Decree, 32 large state-owned enterprises and business associations are subject to transformation, 15 state-owned immovable objects are sold to the private sector.

Also, the Decree established full implementation to the private sector through public tenders:

274 enterprises;

109 newspapers, publishing houses and magazines;

26 enterprises in the field of information technology and computer service centers;

27 medical institutions in areas with a developed private sector;

12 enterprises of the oil and fat industry;

31 enterprises of the wine industry and trade in alcoholic beverages.

Buyers of state assets can make payment on terms of installment payments in the manner prescribed by law.

Among the companies that will be put up for public auction are: JSC “Kvarts”, “Ferganaazot” and “Uzbekkimyomash Zavodi”, the insurance company “Kafolat”, 2 mobile operators – Universal Mobile Systems (Mobiuz) and Rubicon Wireless Communications (Perfectum), Hyatt hotel Regency Tashkent, Poytaxt business center, Foton JSC, Coca-Cola Uzbekista, etc.
