Ambassador of Uzbekistan Fariddin Nasriev visited the logistics center for agricultural products and the export terminal ‘‘Romak Co.’’ in Iran, the correspondent of ‘‘Dunyo’’ news agency reports.
The diplomat got acquainted with the activities of the center and met with its director Riza Ganji.
This enterprise is located on an area of 31 hectares, is designed for storing citrus fruits and is equipped with modern technological equipment. The main partners of the center are Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, Russia and the countries of Central Asia. 4 million tons of citrus fruits pass through this center annually.
During the negotiations, the Uzbek side presented information on the export potential of Uzbekistan. The prospects for investment cooperation were discussed, in particular, the creation of a similar center in our country.
The Iranian side expressed its readiness to begin cooperation with Uzbekistan in the field of growing, storing, packaging and preparing citrus fruits for export.
