An agreement was reached on opening a representative office of the Uzbek Republican Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange in Italy

In order to increase trade turnover at the Uzbek Republican Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange (CSE) with the participation of Italian companies, the Embassy of our country in Rome held a meeting via videoconference between the President of the Italian company “Imagro Group” Massimo Pollio, the Deputy Chairman of the CBC Nabikhon Samatov and the Advisor to the Chairman Hikmatullo Tillaboev, reports Correspondent of news agency “Dunyo”.

Ambassador Otabek Akbarov briefed the participants on the efforts being made today to develop the economy of our country, improve free market mechanisms and expand cooperation with business circles of foreign countries.

Hikmatullo Tillaboev, in the form of a presentation, familiarized the Italian side with the activities of the exchange. It contained detailed information about the participants, the list of goods traded, the agreements being implemented and the scope of the contracts.

Particular attention was paid to the opportunities and prospects of the exchange, efforts to develop new markets in foreign countries, work with foreign business circles. Interest was expressed in establishing contacts with Italian companies and developing mutually beneficial cooperation.

Massimo Pollio noted that over the past 3-4 years, cooperation between Italy and Uzbekistan has been rapidly expanding and developing in various areas, especially in the trade and economic sphere.

It was emphasized that given the wide economic potential of the republic, representatives of the Italian business community are very interested in developing relations with Uzbekistan.

The President of Imagro Group expressed his readiness to establish cooperation with the TSB of Uzbekistan, open a trading platform in our country and establish a long-term partnership. Based on its capabilities and wide ties, the Italian side noted that it is ready to assist Uzbekistan in expanding trade relations not only with Italy, but also with companies from neighboring countries, including Romania, Greece, France and other countries.

As a first step, Massimo Pollio suggested opening a representative office of the Uzbek Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange at the Imagro Group office in Milan. He also announced his readiness to sign a Memorandum of Understanding to create a certain legal framework for partnership.
