How many days off will Uzbek citizens have for Navruz?

On the Navruz holiday, Uzbeks will rest for several days in a row.

According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the establishment of additional non-working days during the celebration of official dates and the transfer of days off in 2022”:
During the celebration of Navruz, Uzbeks will rest on the following days:

  • March 20, 2022 – Sunday (day off according to the calendar);
  • March 21, 2022 – Monday (holiday non-working day);
  • March 22, 2022 – Tuesday (additional non-working day);
  • March 23, 2022 – Wednesday (additional non-working day).

March 19 will be Saturday. It is known that in some state and non-state institutions the work schedule consists of five working days (Monday – Friday). In this case, the Uzbeks will rest for five days in a row.
