The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Poland are creating a Business Council

The Ambassador of Uzbekistan Amirsaid Agzamkhodjaev held a meeting with the President of the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Poland, Vice-President of the Association of European Chambers of Commerce Marek Klochko, the correspondent of “Dunyo” news agency reports.

During the negotiations, issues of further development of bilateral trade, economic and investment cooperation were considered, including preparations for the business forum within the framework of the 8th meeting of the Uzbek-Polish Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, which will be held in Tashkent in April 2024.

It was noted that the Polish side attaches great importance to the further development of cooperation with representatives of the business community of Uzbekistan in the areas of e-commerce, information technology, agriculture and food industry.

During the 8th meeting of the commission, it was decided to sign an agreement on the creation of the Uzbek-Polish Business Council. It was noted that today Poland has similar structures with eight countries, and the creation of a Business Council with Uzbekistan will be the first in the Central Asian region.

The Polish side also expressed gratitude for the active participation of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in study visits to Polish voivodeships organized by the Polish Chamber of Commerce and Industry for advisers on trade and economic issues of foreign diplomatic missions accredited in Warsaw. The Polish side declared its readiness to share its experience in organizing such visits.
