Russia agrees on the supply of vegetables, fruits and wine from Uzbekistan

Russian restaurateurs are ready to establish interaction with producers of vegetables, fruits, textiles and wine from Uzbekistan, Igor Bukharov, president of the Federation of Restaurateurs and Hoteliers of Russia (FRHR), told RIA Novosti, RIA Novosti reports.

The head of the FRHR held a meeting with the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Russia, Bothijon Asadov. It discussed the interaction of the federation with manufacturers of products from Uzbekistan for restaurants and hotels in the Russian Federation.

“We are interested in vegetables, fruits, nuts. Uzbekistan has entire agro-industrial clusters. There are also clusters of light industry, where they make cotton canvases and sew textiles for hotels and restaurants. They also have their own winery and are ready to supply this product”, – said Bukharov.

He noted that previously products from Uzbekistan were mainly supplied only to the market, and cooperation with restaurateurs was not established.

“We agreed that in May there will be a special event with suppliers and buyers from Russia. We will invite restaurateurs there so that they can try everything and conclude contracts directly”,-the head of the federation added.
