Prospects for cooperation with the leading Japanese manufacturer of products under the brand name AOKI were discussed in Tokyo

The Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Japan held a meeting with Managing Director of AOKI Holdings Inc Terumitsu Noguchi and Director of the Merchandising Department of AOKI Holdings Inc Hirotako Mori.

The AOKI Holdings Inc group of companies began operations in 1958, when Japan was entering a long period of rapid economic growth. The goal was to allow businessmen to have a wide variety of suits. The philosophy of the company is based on three main principles: the pursuit of business ethics, the pursuit of social responsibility and the pursuit of community service. 

AOKI Holdings Inc has three main business lines: fashion, wedding and entertainment business. The fashion business segment includes the operation of chain retail stores for men’s and women’s clothing under the trademarks AOKI, ORIHICA. In the modeling business, the company produces various products, from machine-washable suits to suits made using advanced Japanese technology, to business casual clothes, using a vertical merchandising system. During the meeting, representatives of AOKI Holdings Inc. familiarized with the production potential of the textile industry of Uzbekistan, created favorable investment conditions for foreign investors. In addition, representatives of AOKI Holdings Inc were informed about the decision of the Cotton Campaign International Coalition to cancel the global boycott of Uzbek cotton, as well as about the work done in this direction by the Government of Uzbekistan to end forced labor in the cotton industry and ensure the effectiveness of ongoing reforms.

The attention of Japanese partners was drawn to the fact that the abolition of the cotton boycott contributes to increasing the interest of world brands in establishing business in Uzbekistan.

For their part, representatives of AOKI Holdings Inc were interested in the production and raw materials base of the textile industry, the range of manufactured and exported products, in particular, business-style clothing for men and women, including shirts, shirts, suits, jackets, ties.

Based on the results of negotiations with representatives of AOKI Holdings Inc, the main priority areas of cooperation were identified, an agreement was reached on further elaboration of joint proposals, and organizing meetings with representatives of textile companies of the republic.
