Finland’s UPM Kymmene expresses interest in cooperating with Uzbekistan

Ambassador of Uzbekistan Kadambay Sultanov held a virtual meeting with Kari Ståhlberg, Executive Vice President for Strategy of the Finnish UPM-Kymmene.

The parties exchanged views on the prospects for establishing and building up trade, investment and technological cooperation between Uzbekistan and UPM, and discussed further ways of practical interaction, taking into account the steadily growing partnership.

The Finnish businessman noted the prospects of the Uzbekistan market and Central Asia with a total population of more than 60 million people.

At the meeting, the format and schedule of the upcoming contacts were also discussed with the involvement of government agencies involved from the Uzbek and Finnish sides to continue substantive negotiations on the prospects for cooperation with a focus on results.
