Jamshid Khodjaev headed the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade

On July 16 of this year, by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, after the deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis approved the candidature, Jamshid Abdukhakimovich Khodjaev was appointed to the post of Deputy Prime Minister for Investments and Foreign Economic Relations – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade.

Previously, Jamshid Khodjaev headed the Ministry of Agriculture. Prior to this position, he served as Minister of Foreign Trade from 2017 to 2019. Even earlier, he worked as the first deputy chairman of the National Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Uzbekistan, where he oversaw the departments of the treasury, foreign economic activity, information technology, project financing and others.

He also held the position of First Deputy Chairman of the Accounts Chamber – Head of the Inspectorate for Control over the Completeness of Revenues to the State Budget, was directly involved in the creation of the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the development of a full-fledged regulatory framework for regulating its activities, as well as proposals for further strengthening the resource Foundation bases.

Since September 10, 2021, Jamshid Khodjaev has also been assigned the position of Acting Rector of the Tashkent State Agrarian University.
