The entire territory of the Republic of Karakalpakstan is designated as the zone.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2026\" data-end=\"2096\">Within the framework of the special zone, the following are permitted:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2098\" data-end=\"2475\">\n<li data-section-id=\"eheic4\" data-start=\"2098\" data-end=\"2273\">the use of electricity from the unified power system, all types of renewable energy sources, as well as electricity generated by hydrogen power plants for mining activities;<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1gcsfuj\" data-start=\"2274\" data-end=\"2475\">the sale of crypto-assets obtained through mining via national crypto exchanges or foreign platforms, including on the basis of direct contracts, and\/or their exchange for other liquid crypto-assets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2477\" data-end=\"2564\">A \u201cDirectorate of the Special Mining Zone \u2018Besqala Mining Valley\u2019\u201d will be established.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2566\" data-end=\"2707\">The National Agency of Perspective Projects has been designated as the authorized body responsible for issuing permits for mining activities.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2709\" data-end=\"2856\">Applicants (legal entities) shall apply to the Directorate to obtain resident status in the special zone and a permit to conduct mining activities.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2858\" data-end=\"2966\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Income of residents derived from mining operations will be exempt from taxes and fees until January 1, 2035.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>According to the report of the press service of the Ministry of Justice, Presidential Resolution \u201cOn measures to establish a special mining zone in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and organize its activities\u201d (No. PP\u2013143 dated April 17, 2026) has been adopted.
