With the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan, online negotiations were organized between representatives of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry of Uzbekistan and the management of the Pakistani company SAMI Pharmaceuticals, the correspondent of “Dunyo” news agency reports<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The main goal of the meeting was to expand bilateral cooperation, identify mutually beneficial areas for the creation of modern production facilities and the implementation of advanced technologies.<\/p>\n

During the dialogue, the parties discussed the possibility of locating modern production facilities in Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical clusters, the transfer of innovative technologies, increasing the level of localization of production, and the implementation of joint investment projects. Particular attention was paid to the production of products that meet international standards and increasing the industry’s export potential.<\/p>\n

The Pakistani side was provided with information on the current state of the pharmaceutical market in Uzbekistan, its development trends, and prospects. Specifically, the discussion focused on medicines in high demand in the domestic and regional markets, priority investment areas, proposed projects, and the conditions and incentives created for foreign investors.<\/p>\n

A presentation of the Tashkent Pharma Park (Bio Pharma City) pharmaceutical cluster was also held, highlighting opportunities for high-tech production, developing research and development, establishing laboratories that meet international standards, and producing innovative products. Government support measures, including tax and customs incentives, infrastructure development, and simplified licensing procedures, were highlighted.<\/p>\n

Representatives of SAMI Pharmaceuticals presented the company’s activities, highlighting its more than 50 years of experience and its status as one of Pakistan’s largest pharmaceutical manufacturers. The company stands out for its modern production facilities, high quality standards, focus on scientific research, and successful operations in international markets.<\/p>\n

The Pakistani side expressed interest in establishing cooperation with pharmaceutical companies in Uzbekistan, implementing advanced technologies, sharing expertise between specialists, and establishing joint ventures, presenting specific proposals in these areas.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, Agency specialists expressed their readiness to thoroughly study the proposed initiatives, develop implementation mechanisms, and assist in attracting interested local companies.<\/p>\n
