The Tashkent International Business Center hosted the Uzbek-Qatari Investment Roundtable, co-chaired by Laziz Kudratov, Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan, and Ahmad bin Muhammad Al-Thani, Minister of State for Foreign Trade of Qatar, the press service of the Ministry reports.
By the end of 2025, bilateral trade volume expanded by 30.1 percent, while Uzbek exports to Qatar registered a 36.5 percent growth.
The participants reviewed a portfolio of projects in strategic sectors, focusing on attracting Qatari capital into banking, mineral extraction, and the chemical industry. Special emphasis was placed on the development of transport infrastructure, the tourism sector, and the management of regional transit hubs.
In trade and agriculture, the discussions centered on establishing agro-clusters and promoting Uzbek products across Middle Eastern markets. Leading government agencies and corporations from both nations presented their business cases, confirming that the roundtable effectively served as a practical platform to transition into the implementation phase of the bilateral agreements.
