President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the process of milk processing and the production of finished products at the new production complex of the Tillo Domor enterprise in Urgench District, the press service of the head of our state reports.
In Uzbekistan, particular attention is being paid to the development of livestock farming, the deep processing of agricultural products, and the expansion of value chains in the food industry. Broad opportunities have been created for introducing modern technologies, processing locally sourced raw materials, and supporting producers.
Khorezm Region is among the regions with high potential for milk production. Effectively utilizing this potential, projects are being implemented to develop specialized livestock farming and expand the industrial processing of milk.
The total value of the Tillo Domor enterprise is $11 million, while its production capacity enables it to produce goods worth 100 billion soums annually. The enterprise is equipped with modern technological equipment imported from Bulgaria.
More than 70 types of dairy products are produced here, including cheese, cream, sour cream, cottage cheese, katyk, and kefir. Raw materials are purchased daily from more than 100 farms and from the local population. This, in turn, contributes to creating a stable market for livestock farmers to sell their products.
The enterprise has created 120 jobs. Solar panels with a capacity of 100 kilowatts have also been installed at the production complex. Going forward, it is planned to create an additional 100 jobs and expand the range of products manufactured.
Currently, around 1,200 food processing enterprises operate in the region.
The Head of State emphasized the importance of increasing the production of high-value-added products through the deep processing of local raw materials, ensuring a stable supply of resources to enterprises engaged in such activities, and expanding the range and volume of production.
Relevant officials were instructed to support entrepreneurial initiatives in this area.
