Ambassadors of Uzbekistan to Belarus, Israel, India, Qatar and Kuwait discussed prospects for cooperation with government officials and entrepreneurs of the Kashkadarya region

Ambassadors of Uzbekistan to Belarus, Israel, India, Qatar and Kuwait Rakhmatulla Nazarov, Jakhongir Aminov, Sardor Rustambayev, Ashraf Khodjayev and Ayubkhon Yunusov paid a working visit to Kashkadarya region, the correspondent of ‘‘Dunyo’’ news agency reports.

During the visit, the trade, economic, investment and tourism potential of the region was studied, issues of inviting foreign investors and attracting foreign partners to joint projects in promising areas were discussed.

The diplomats met with the khokim of Kashkadarya region Murotjon Azimov, who provided information on the existing opportunities, infrastructure and logistical conditions for activating trade, economic and investment cooperation with foreign countries. It was noted that a number of projects with Belarus in the production of footwear, juices, clothing, and dairy products are currently being implemented in Kashkadarya region. Cooperation with India in the field of pharmaceuticals, nanotechnology and production of elite seeds is expanding. It is planned to implement production projects with Kuwaiti companies in the petrochemical sector for a total of 850 million US dollars. The implementation of projects in the fields of pharmaceuticals, information technology and “smart” agriculture is being discussed with Israel, and with Qatar – in the fields of fisheries, desert tourism and livestock farming.

An exchange of views took place on issues of deepening investment cooperation and trade and economic ties of the Kashkadarya region with foreign countries, prospects for implementing programs in the fields of education, tourism and agriculture.

During the trip, the heads of Uzbek diplomatic missions also met with entrepreneurs from the region and discussed the possibility of further increasing the volume of exports of products produced and grown in Kashkadarya to foreign countries, finding new markets, and creating trading houses.

Entrepreneurs from Kashkadarya held a presentation of their products and services. At the end of the meeting, an agreement was reached on cooperation and increasing exports of domestic products to foreign markets.
