Investment and tourism potential of Uzbekistan was presented in Hamburg

The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Germany together with the company “Laurea Germania” organized an event in Hamburg dedicated to the economic and tourist potential of our country, the correspondent of  “Dunyo” news agency reports.

The event, aimed at further expansion of multifaceted interregional cooperation between Uzbekistan and Germany, familiarization with the possibilities and prospects of interaction in the economy, culture, tourism and other areas, was attended by representatives of the Hamburg business community, management of legal and consulting companies, investors, and media representatives.

The guests of the event got acquainted with information about large-scale reforms implemented in all spheres of life in our country, the results achieved, the conditions and conveniences created for foreign companies and investors, as well as internationally recognized achievements. Colorful illustrations of the image of New Uzbekistan and its international economic attractiveness were presented in the video “Invest in Uzbekistan!”.

General Director of Laurea Germania Sören Kroll introduced the participants to information about the activities of his company in our country, long-term partnerships and conditions created for doing business and investing. He called on German companies to actively cooperate not only in investing in Uzbekistan, but also in opening subsidiaries and branches of Uzbek companies in Germany and Europe.

In the part of the event dedicated to tourism potential, information was presented about the upcoming 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference, which is planned to be held in Samarkand this year, as well as about the rich spiritual and cultural heritage of our country, its unique nature and ancient cities, tourist destinations, modern tourism infrastructure.

At the end of the presentation, a video clip “Welcome to Uzbekistan!” was shown. As part of the presentation, an exhibition of national crafts was also organized and guests were served dishes of Uzbek national cuisine.

It is worth noting that the city of Hamburg has the status of a Federal State of Germany. It is the second largest city in the country with a population of about 2 million people. The Port of Hamburg is the second largest in Europe after Rotterdam and the ninth largest in the world. It is called the “Gateway to the World” due to its trade and economic potential. Shipbuilding, oil refining and logistics are developed in the port area. The country’s leading aviation, insurance and media companies operate here. More than 32 thousand trade and economic societies are registered. Hamburg is an important trading point between Europe and East Asia.
