A leading Pakistani consortium plans to invest in Uzbekistan’s hospitality sector

Uzbekistan’s Ambassador Alisher Tukhtayev held talks with Habib Khan, Chief Executive Officer of the Pakistani company Khan International Investment Consortium, the correspondent of Dunyo News Agency reports.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Pakistani side was briefed on the economic reforms implemented in Uzbekistan in recent years and their outcomes, the country’s favorable investment climate, the opportunities created for foreign investors, and Uzbekistan’s rich tourism potential.

According to Habib Khan, Khan International Investment Consortium operates successfully not only in Pakistan but also in the United States, specializing in hotel management, hospitality services, and projects in other sectors.

“We plan to establish mutually beneficial cooperation with major hotels in Uzbekistan and introduce the prestigious U.S.-based international hotel brand Best Western to the Uzbek market. The necessary authorization for the operation of this brand in Uzbekistan has already been obtained,” he said.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for attracting investment into the development of the hospitality sector in Tashkent Region, implementing real estate projects and constructing modern residential complexes, establishing cooperation with Uzvinosanoat-Holding, and exploring the possibility of joint investment projects in the Zaamin District of Jizzakh Region.

The participants emphasized that cooperation in these areas would contribute to further strengthening trade and economic ties between the two countries and creating new jobs.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to organize a business mission of the Khan International Investment Consortium delegation to Uzbekistan to study the discussed projects and facilitate their practical implementation.

Khan International Investment Consortium is a family-owned business group operating in the fields of real estate, hospitality, electric vehicle manufacturing, energy, and construction. The consortium has implemented a number of business projects in the United States, the United Kingdom, China, and Pakistan and manages more than 24 hotels.
