A delegation from Uzbekistan, led by the Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade Laziz Kudratov, conducted an official visit to Azerbaijan from April 22 to 24, the press service of the MIIT reports.
High-level discussions were held with the Ministry of Economy and senior executives of leading enterprises regarding the coordination of joint events, the implementation of strategic initiatives, the launch of new manufacturing cycles, and participation in the International Urban Forum.
Both parties reached an agreement on key sectors for bilateral cooperation, including mining, the production of construction materials, transport and logistics, urban planning, the agro-industrial complex, and pharmaceuticals. Significant emphasis was placed on the establishment of the “Uzbekistan” park in Baku and the “Azerbaijan” park in Tashkent, alongside the expansion of pharmaceutical retail networks and fruit and vegetable processing projects.
In 2025, trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan reached $307.3 million, representing a year-on-year increase of 14.6%.
