On May 14, Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade Ilzat Kasimov met with representatives from Sojitz Corporation, the press service of the Ministry reports. The company is currently implementing 12 projects in Uzbekistan totaling $5.87 billion, with Japanese investments accounting for $2.27 billion of that amount.
The discussions focused on the implementation status of the roadmap signed in August 2025. Key emphasis was placed on infrastructure and energy initiatives, including the construction of the new Tashkent International Airport, an 800-bed clinic in Samarkand, and a 1,000 MW wind farm in the Navoi region.
Sojitz Corporation expressed further interest in establishing similar multidisciplinary medical centers in the Bukhara and Andijan regions. Following the meeting, the company confirmed that its senior management will participate in the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum.
