On May 15, Akram Aliev, Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Yves Barlier and Pierre-Paul Antheunissens, representatives of the French energy company EDF for Central Asia, the press service of the Ministry reports.
EDF is a global leader in power generation, transmission, and distribution. The company maintains extensive expertise in nuclear energy, renewable energy sources, and the modernization of energy infrastructure.
During the negotiations, the parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation within Uzbekistan’s energy sector. Particular emphasis was placed on developing generating capacity, upgrading infrastructure, and implementing advanced technological solutions.
The participants also exchanged views on the execution of promising investment projects, improving the efficiency of energy facilities, and establishing a long-term strategic partnership within the industry.
