The issues related to ensuring the stability of the oil and gas market were discussed

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed a presentation on measures aimed at ensuring stability in the oil and gas market and guaranteeing the uninterrupted supply of hydrocarbon resources to economic sectors and the population, the press service of the head of our state reports.

The expansion of production capacities and growing consumer demand are increasing the need for natural gas and petroleum products. Under these circumstances, it is critically important to ensure a stable supply of the required resources to the domestic market, anticipate seasonal demand in advance, and prevent unjustified price increases.

The presentation reviewed the current state of oil and gas production, imports, processing, storage, and distribution to consumers. The need was emphasized for accurately assessing the requirements of industries and regions, prioritizing domestic demand, and strictly adhering to supply schedules.

The participants also discussed the work being carried out by the joint-stock company Uzneftegaz to maintain stable natural gas production levels, efficiently utilize the potential of existing fields, and bring new wells into operation in a timely manner.

A total of 27 wells are scheduled to be commissioned in August. Development activities at the Yangi Kultak, Niyoz, Koratau, Marvarid, and Tegirmon fields will create the capacity to produce an additional 887 thousand cubic meters of natural gas.

The President stressed the importance of daily monitoring of all processes—from drilling wells to connecting them to the gas transportation system—as well as ensuring the uninterrupted operation of power supply and production infrastructure.

Particular attention was paid to ensuring a balanced supply of raw materials to enterprises in the oil and gas sector, making effective use of existing capacities, and increasing the production of goods that are in high demand on the domestic market.

The need was highlighted to deliver hydrocarbon resources to the regions in sufficient quantities and on time, build up the necessary reserves in advance, and ensure coordinated operations among enterprises engaged in production, transportation, and sales.

To maintain price stability, the importance of ensuring an adequate level of market supply, offering products on commodity exchanges in line with demand, and reducing production and logistics costs was emphasized. Instructions were given to establish effective oversight to prevent unjustified restrictions on resource supplies, the creation of artificial shortages, and any actions aimed at inflating prices.

In order to maintain a balance between supply and demand in the domestic market, prevent disruptions in hydrocarbon supplies, and avoid unjustified price increases, Uzneftegaz was tasked with ensuring the full implementation of established oil and gas production targets. The company was instructed to increase liquefied gas production by the end of the year to 606 thousand tons, compared to the previously planned 520 thousand tons.

Responsible officials were instructed to conduct daily analyses of domestic market needs, identify supply-related risks in advance, and take the necessary measures in a timely manner.
