The interlocutors discussed the formulation of a new program dedicated to modernizing Free Economic Zones (FEZs) utilizing the Results-Based Lending (RBL) mechanism. The initiative aims to transform FEZs into highly competitive, export-oriented hubs.

Currently, the country hosts 47 FEZs spanning a total area of 13.4 thousand hectares. Strategic programs are actively being implemented to expand infrastructure capabilities and reform the existing management framework.

During the negotiations, the parties addressed the implementation of Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs), digital monitoring, environmental standards, and ESG frameworks. Special emphasis was placed on the development of energy-efficient zones. Concluding the meeting, both sides agreed to accelerate the preparation of the program to establish next-generation FEZs that are fully integrated into global value chains.
