British companies are interested in cooperation with Uzbekistan in the field of geology

Representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in London discussed the prospects for cooperation with the director of the British company Wardell Armstrong, Che Osmond, the correspondent of “Dunyo” news agency reports.

In particular, issues of establishing interaction between the company and the Ministry of Mining and Geology of Uzbekistan and the Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Plant in the field of extraction of non-ferrous and rare metals were considered.

Wardell Armstrong is a 186-year-old company providing mining consulting, engineering and project modeling services. The organization operates in more than 90 countries in Africa, North and South America, and Central Asia in projects for the extraction of non-ferrous and rare metals.

Diplomats presented information about projects being implemented in the mining industry of Uzbekistan and the opportunities created for foreign investors. The British side highly appreciated the reforms being carried out in our country and expressed their readiness to work together in such areas as the study of mineral resources, work design, coordination of construction work at sites and others.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached on the participation of the company’s management in the III Tashkent International Investment Forum and the organization of their meetings with representatives of official organizations in Uzbekistan.
