Turkish Cimtas Steel plans to produce towers for wind turbines in Uzbekistan

On October 26 this year, the First Deputy Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Nozim Kholmurodov met with a delegation of Cimtas Steel, one of the world’s largest suppliers of equipment for power plants using renewable energy sources and the first manufacturer of towers for wind turbines in Turkey.

During the negotiations, the organizational aspects of the company’s proposal for the implementation of a project for the production of towers for wind turbines in Uzbekistan were considered.

During the acquaintance of the company’s representatives with the investment climate created in our country, benefits and preferences provided for foreign investors, the following were identified as the most acceptable and effective areas of Cimtas Steel’s activities: the supply of equipment and the localization of the production of towers for wind turbines in Uzbekistan.

Following the negotiations, the representatives of the company expressed their interest in implementing a project for the production of towers for wind turbines in the Tashkent region with prospects for exporting products to the countries of Central Asia. In turn, the leadership of the Ministry expressed its readiness to assist in the practical implementation of the company’s investment project.
