In the Jizzakh region, together with Indian partners, the production of more than 100 types of medicines will be launched

At the Uzbek-Indian joint venture Avantika Shifokor, which is being built in the Jizzakh region, the production of more than 100 types of medicines will be launched, the correspondent of “Dunyo” news agency reports.

Companies “Shifokor-82” (Uzbekistan) and “Avantika Medex Pvt. Ltd.” (India) are building a joint venture in the Zaminsky district on an area of 11.5 hectares, specializing in the production of finished pharmaceutical products.

Within the framework of this project, funds in the amount of 30 million US dollars are being used, including 15 million US dollars of foreign investment. The production of pharmaceuticals in the form of tablets, capsules, injections, gels and others will be launched here.

Companies “Shifokor-82” and “Avantika Medex Pvt. Ltd.” have been collaborating for many years. The favorable business environment created in Uzbekistan in recent years and the effectiveness of international cooperation have prompted Uzbek and Indian entrepreneurs to master the production of medicines still imported from India in our country.

It is planned that 70 percent of the products produced at the new joint venture will be sent to the foreign market and 30 percent to the domestic market.
