Serbia is hosting a working visit by representatives of Uzbekistan’s small and medium-sized businesses specializing in the production of freeze-dried fruits and dried prunes

From 17 to 21 August, Serbia is hosting a working visit by representatives of Uzbekistan’s small and medium-sized businesses specializing in the production of freeze-dried fruits and dried prunes, the press service of the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports. The visit is organized by the International Trade Centre (ITC) under the Trade Promotion East programme, with the support of the MIIT.

The program began in Belgrade with a meeting at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia. In the coming days, Uzbek entrepreneurs will visit leading enterprises and research institutions to learn about freeze-drying and fruit-processing technologies, post-harvest handling, quality control systems, packaging and branding.

At production and research facilities, participants will explore the organization of export deliveries, modern food safety requirements, and solutions aimed at increasing the added value of products.

The visit will be followed by B2B meetings with importers and distributors: on 22 August in Zagreb and on 24 August in Ljubljana. Uzbek companies will present their products, discuss the requirements of European buyers, and explore opportunities to enter new international markets.
