On May 12, the Minister of IIT, Laziz Kudratov, held a meeting with a Brazilian delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mauro Vieira, the press service of the Ministry reports. The discussions focused on the active expansion of trade and economic cooperation, the advancement of industrial partnerships, and the initiation of new joint projects.
With bilateral trade reaching approximately 300 million dollars by the end of 2025, both parties identified significant growth potential in agriculture, energy, aviation, and pharmaceuticals. The strengthening of bilateral ties is further supported by the inaugural meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission and the utilization of the C5+1 framework.
Brazil’s active support for Uzbekistan’s accession to the World Trade Organization remains a key pillar of their interaction. This meeting reaffirmed the commitment of both nations to implementing practical initiatives aimed at elevating the Uzbekistan-Brazil partnership to a new strategic level.
As part of the visit, B2B meetings were organized at the Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade, featuring over 50 entrepreneurs from both countries. During the dialogue, business representatives discussed promising areas of cooperation, outlined specific plans for investment initiatives, and reached several agreements regarding the establishment of joint manufacturing ventures.
