Diplomats of the Embassy of Uzbekistan met with representatives of one of Egypt’s leading construction and engineering companies, Friends for Engineering & Contracting, including Commercial Director Mohamed Sultan and Business Development Manager Wael Abu Bakr, according tothe correpondent of Dunyo News Agency reports.
During the meeting, the company representatives highlighted the large-scale socio-economic reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan in recent years, as well as the favorable investment climate created in the country. They emphasized their strong interest in entering the Uzbek market, making direct investments, and introducing advanced engineering and construction solutions.
The parties discussed prospects for cooperation in implementing projects for the construction of modern hotels, residential complexes, and infrastructure facilities in Uzbekistan. The company representatives proposed a mutually beneficial project implementation mechanism under which the Uzbek side would provide the relevant land plot, while Friends would undertake the full cycle of project design and construction and finance the project through its own investment resources.
Following the meeting, the company representatives expressed interest in organizing direct negotiations and online meetings with representatives of the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Uzbekistan, as well as regional and city khokimiyats, in order to discuss the proposed projects in detail and prepare concrete investment proposals.
