A Chinese Company Is Ready to Expand Its Participation in Infrastructure Projects in Uzbekistan

A meeting was held at the Consulate General of Uzbekistan with Wang Ping, General Director of China Railway Prefabricated Construction (CRPC), the correpondent of Dunyo news agency reports.

The meeting focused on prospects for expanding cooperation in construction and infrastructure.

According to Wang Ping, Uzbekistan’s economy has been developing actively in recent years, while investment volumes continue to grow. The construction sector is becoming one of the key drivers of the country’s economic development.

Particular attention was paid to major infrastructure projects, including the construction of New Tashkent, which encompasses heating, transport, healthcare, education, and residential construction.

The company’s head noted that CRPC is participating in the implementation of the historic China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan railway construction project by supplying steel and metal structures for the construction works.

He also expressed the company’s readiness to implement projects in Uzbekistan involving residential construction, railways and highways, tourism facilities, locomotive maintenance, railway electrification, and the production of environmentally friendly construction materials.

Following the meeting, CRPC agreed to send a delegation to Uzbekistan in early September to discuss further expansion of cooperation with the Uzbek side.
