The President of Uzbekistan called for further expansion of the multifaceted partnership with Kazakhstan

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov on the sidelines of the Fifth Tashkent International Investment Forum, the press service of the head of our state reports.

At the beginning of the conversation, Olzhas Bektenov conveyed to the head of state the sincere greetings and good wishes of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The parties discussed current issues related to the further deepening of Uzbek-Kazakh strategic partnership and alliance.

The parties noted with satisfaction the intensive contacts at all levels. Trade turnover is growing, and cooperation projects in priority economic sectors continue to be implemented based on the recently adopted new roadmap.

The importance of thorough preparation for the upcoming meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission and the first Council of Regional Heads in Aktau in July of this year was emphasized.
