Uzbekistan and Argentina will expand trade and economic cooperation

Alisher Shaikhov, Adviser to the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, met with Enrique Ignacio Ferrer Vieira, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Argentina to Uzbekistan, according to the Chamber’s press service.

The parties discussed the development of trade and economic ties, investment cooperation, and the expansion of contacts between the business communities of the two countries.

At the beginning of the meeting, Shaikhov congratulated the diplomat on his appointment and wished him success in his efforts to strengthen relations between Uzbekistan and Argentina.

The participants identified promising areas of cooperation in agriculture, the food and textile industries, footwear manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, the electrical engineering and chemical industries. The jewelry industry, tourism, healthcare, and education were also identified as potential areas of cooperation.

The parties expressed their readiness to continue practical cooperation in the identified areas, intensify business contacts, and facilitate the implementation of joint projects.
