Investment and tourism potential of Uzbekistan was demonstrated at a business forum in Malaysia

Representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kuala Lumpur took part in a business forum organized by the International Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Malaysia (IWEAM), “Dunyo” correspondent reports.

Founded in 2007, IWEAM is developing women’s entrepreneurship in the country, including by making relevant proposals to the Malaysian government. The Association cooperates with similar organizations in Southeast Asia and Europe.

November 28 – December 5, 2021, the leadership and members of IWEAM, operating in the field of cosmetics production, trade, tourism, education and cinematography, led by its President Noraziza Borhan, visited Uzbekistan.

During the business forum, those present were provided with detailed information about the investment and tourism potential of Uzbekistan, the conditions and opportunities created for foreign investors.

An exhibition of folk handicrafts and national costumes of Uzbekistan was also organized. As part of the event, the cultural program of the Uzbek dance group Nurafshon was presented.

In turn, the participants of the event expressed their interest in establishing cooperation with relevant organizations and entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan.

As a result of the business forum, an agreement was reached on organizing the next visit of members of the Malaysian International Association of Business Women to Uzbekistan in the 4th quarter of this year to study the possibility of implementing joint investment projects and concluding export contracts.
