Scope Investment is interested in introducing “smart city” technologies in Uzbekistan. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Information and Communications.
On September 16, First Deputy Minister of the Ministry Oleg Pekos met with a delegation of a firm from the UAE. The parties discussed the possibilities of implementing the company’s technological solutions to improve city management systems.
The company is now exploring opportunities to invest in key areas to make Uzbekistan’s major cities smart. Investors expressed their readiness to introduce services certified in the US and the EU in Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara.
In particular, Scope Investment proposed the installation of smart traffic lights for more efficient traffic management.
Oleg Pekos, on behalf of the Ministry of Information and Communications Committee, expressed his readiness to provide the company with the necessary infrastructure.
