The Chairman of the CCI held a working meeting with the Head of Rosselkhoznadzor Sergei Dankvert

On April 11, negotiations between the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Davron Vakhabov and the Head of Rosselkhoznadzor Sergei Dankvert took place in Moscow, the press service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry reports.

The event was attended by representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Russia, the Committee for Veterinary Medicine and Livestock Development, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Beekeeping Association of the Republic.

The parties noted the progressive development of business relations between the countries and identified steps to strengthen working contacts and support mutually beneficial trade.

Noting the importance of the Russian market for the economy of the Republic, Uzbek colleagues expressed their readiness to develop an appropriate system for monitoring the supply of bee packages to Russia, to fulfill all the requirements of the Russian side for the import of this product, under the guarantees of the state veterinary service of Uzbekistan, and also to provide a list of reliable supplier companies.

In this regard, Sergey Dankvert and Davron Vakhabov agreed on a visit by a delegation from Rosselkhoznadzor to the Republic next week to conduct an inspection of Uzbek companies interested in exporting bee packages, as well as to familiarize themselves with the state system of control over product supplies.

In addition, the parties emphasized the importance of scientific cooperation in beekeeping, including with the involvement of third-party organizations, for example, the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Federal Agrarian Research Center of the North-East named after N.V. Rudnitsky”.

According to FSIS “Argus-Fito”, in 2023, feed and feed additives and poultry meat were actively exported from Russia to Uzbekistan. Last year, supplies of onions, nectarines and peaches from the Republic to Russia were at a consistently high level.

Since the beginning of 2024, about 70 thousand tons of fruits and vegetables have been imported to Russia from Uzbekistan, which is 77.7% more than in the same period in 2023 – 39.5 thousand tons. A noticeable increase occurred in such crops as: white cabbage by 11 times – from 3.2 thousand tons to 38 thousand tons, persimmon by 6.2 times – from 233 tons to 1.5 thousand tons, cauliflower by 3, 2 times – from 893 tons to 2.9 thousand tons, carrots 3.3 times – from 1.5 thousand tons to 4.9 thousand tons.
