Turkish Akcha Holding intends to create textile production in Uzbekistan

On November 29 this year, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Jamshid Khodjaev met with a member of the Board of Directors of the Turkish company Akcha Holding Ahmet Bilge Goksan.

During the meeting, the prospects for intensifying bilateral relations were discussed, bearing in mind the implementation of new joint projects and the further development of cooperation in the textile industry, renewable energy sources, agriculture and engineering.

Representatives of the Turkish company highly appreciated the conditions created in Uzbekistan for comfortable activities of investors and expressed their readiness to implement an investment project in the textile industry worth $250 million in the Namangan region. We are talking about the production of products from yarn, terry towels, home textiles, knitwear, military uniforms, linen, dyed fabric and other textile products targeted at the markets of the USA, Europe, Brazil, Canada and other countries. With full implementation, 12-15 thousand new jobs will be created.

Following the meeting, the Uzbek side expressed its readiness to provide comprehensive assistance at all stages of the project, as well as in the process of developing new investment initiatives.
