Issues of expanding Uzbek-Belarusian interregional cooperation were discussed in Minsk

The Ambassador of Uzbekistan Rakhmatulla Nazarov met with the Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Vladimir Kukharev, the correspondent of “Dunyo” news agency reports.

The parties discussed issues of further expansion of interregional cooperation in the trade, economic, social and cultural spheres.

Vladimir Kukharev highly appreciated the results of the Uzbek-Belarusian interregional forum, which took place on the eve of the official visit of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to Uzbekistan on February 7, 2024. He noted that the signing of a “road map” aimed at implementing the agreement on establishing trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation in 2024-2025 will serve to further strengthen relations between the two countries in the near future.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to work out the issues of creating an Uzbek-Belarusian foreign trade company, expanding cooperation in the pharmaceutical field and increasing the volume of foreign trade.

Vladimir Kukharev emphasized that he is ready to expand cooperation in the fields of education, healthcare and culture. The Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee invited representatives of the cultural sphere of Uzbekistan to visit Minsk as part of the summer music and tourism season and present national cultural traditions. He also invited Uzbek athletes to take part in competitions held in the capital of Belarus.
